Education can be delivered in many ways. The best kind of education is when students have freedom of expression which develops students’ critical thinking skills. As a result, students are encouraged to question authority and do not necessarily accept the information provided. (allows country for a better solution)

During Soviet Union education system was well control by authority. Education that was delivered to students excluded any freedom of expression and critical thinking skills. Lacking in these essential skills in education system is not the best kind of education because when students did question authority they would have been put in jail or executed. Another example that is not best kind of education found in the North Korea. In addition to education, government has total control over every aspect of citizens’ lives. Students educated on the premise that government is always right thus students are not encouraged to question authority. Education that eliminates the freedom to expression and does not support student voice is not best kind of education. In both countries the lack of critical inhibits progress.

There are several factors that determine student encouragement in questioning authority. One of them is the freedom of expression in universities that encourages students to express their opinion without fear to be punished. Having such security helps students to think critically and question information provided to them without fear of dire consequences. One of the examples that demonstrated this factor was Civil Rights movement in the US. According to the Constitution all citizens for the United States have the same rights and one of the rights is freedom of expression. Having this right encouraged students to question the authority on issue of segregation.
